Keto Everything Cream Cheese Bread

If you miss having fresh bagels in the morning, I think you will really like this recipe.

Today I am sharing my keto everything cream cheese bread, which combines rich bagel flavor with a soft, warm loaf.

Low carb everything cream cheese bread

Giving up traditional baked goods is usually the hardest part of eating low carb, but you do not have to feel left out. This bread keeps things keto friendly while still giving you that real bakery feel.

The best part is the smooth cream cheese ribbon running right through the center of every single slice.

It makes a wonderful breakfast or a quick afternoon snack, especially when you toast it lightly.

Why I Love This Recipe

Built In Cream Cheese Center – Every single slice features a rich cream cheese ribbon baked right into the middle of the bread.

Authentic Bagel Flavor – Everything bagel seasoning gives this loaf that classic savory taste you miss on a keto diet.

Tender Crumb Texture – Greek yogurt and whey protein isolate create a soft bread structure without turning dry or crumbly.

Simple Prep Work – You only need two mixing bowls and basic pantry ingredients to get this loaf into the oven.

Ingredients You’ll Need

For The Bread

  • 1 3/4 cups Superfine Almond Flour
  • 1/3 cup Unflavored Whey Protein Isolate
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Full-Fat Greek Yogurt
  • 3 tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter
  • 2 tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning

For The Cream Cheese Ribbon

  • 6 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 Large Egg Yolk
  • 1 tbsp Everything Bagel Seasoning

How To Make

Step 1

Heat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

Whisk the almond flour, whey protein isolate, baking powder, and sea salt. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs, Greek yogurt, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons everything seasoning until smooth.

Step 3

Stir the wet mixture into the dry mixture just until a thick batter forms. Spread half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 4

Beat the cream cheese and egg yolk until smooth. Spoon the cream cheese mixture down the center of the batter, then cover with the remaining bread batter.

Step 5

Sprinkle the final 1 tablespoon everything seasoning over the top. Bake for 42 to 48 minutes, until the loaf is golden and the center feels set when lightly pressed.

Step 6

Cool the bread in the pan for 20 minutes, then transfer it to a rack. Let it cool completely before portioning so the creamy ribbon stays distinct and the crumb remains tender.

Tips

Soften the Cream Cheese Completely

From my experience, you need the cream cheese completely soft at room temperature before you beat it with the egg yolk.

If it is still chilled, it will leave tiny clumps that keep you from getting a silky, smooth ribbon running through the center of your loaf.

Stick with Whey Protein Isolate

You’ll get the best results if you stick to unflavored whey protein isolate rather than whey concentrate or plant proteins.

Savory keto everything cream cheese bread

Whey isolate provides the exact structure needed to help low carb breads rise tall without turning wet or sponge-like in the center.

Keep the Ribbon in the Middle

When spooning the cream cheese mixture into the pan, leave about a half-inch border of bread batter around all sides.

Keeping the cream cheese away from the pan edges prevents it from sticking to the sides and keeps the creamy layer neatly hidden inside each slice.

FAQ

Can I leave out or replace the whey protein isolate?

The whey protein isolate gives the bread structure and helps it rise without gluten.

If you must replace it, egg white protein powder works best as an equal swap, but leaving it out completely will make the loaf dense and flat.
