Chocolate and peanut butter have always been one of my favorite combinations.
These keto peanut butter lava brownies give you rich chocolate cake on the outside and warm, creamy peanut butter in the middle.

The best part is that this dessert is completely low carb and keto friendly, so you can enjoy a real treat without spiking your blood sugar.
You only need a few basic pantry staples to bring this together, and the prep work is very quick.
Let me show you how simple it is to bake these at home whenever a sweet craving hits.
Why I Love This Recipe
Molten Lava Center – Warm peanut butter flows out of the center just like a classic bakery lava cake.
Ultra Fudgy Texture – Real melted chocolate and butter give you a rich, dense bite without any dry crumbs.

Zero Cooling Effect – Allulose melts cleanly into the batter so you never get that weird cooling sensation from erythritol.
No Sugar Spikes – You can enjoy a truly decadent dessert that keeps your daily carb count remarkably low.
Ingredients You’ll Need
For The Peanut Butter Center
- 3/4 CUP Natural Unsweetened Peanut Butter
- 3 TBSP Powdered Allulose
- 2 TBSP Unsalted Butter, Melted
- 1/2 TSP Vanilla Extract
For The Brownies
- 1 CUP Almond Flour
- 1/2 CUP Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 3/4 CUP Allulose
- 1/2 TSP Baking Powder
- 1/2 TSP Fine Sea Salt
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1/2 CUP Unsalted Butter, Melted
- 2 OZ Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate, Melted
- 1 TSP Vanilla Extract
How To Make
Step 1
Heat the oven to 350°F and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper. Stir the peanut butter, powdered allulose, melted butter, and vanilla together until smooth.
Step 2
Whisk the almond flour, cocoa powder, allulose, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs, melted butter, melted sugar-free chocolate, and vanilla together. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients just until a glossy batter forms.
Step 4
Spread half of the brownie batter in the pan. Drop the peanut butter mixture over it in small spoonfuls, leaving a little brownie batter visible between the mounds.
Step 5
Spoon the remaining brownie batter over the top and gently spread it to cover most of the peanut butter without fully mixing the layers.
Step 6
Bake for 22 to 26 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is still slightly soft. Cool for 20 minutes for a molten peanut butter center, or cool completely for fudgier slices.
Step 7
Lift from the pan and cut into squares, wiping the serving spatula between cuts for clean layers.

Tips
Stir Your Peanut Butter Well
Natural peanut butter usually has a layer of oil resting on top. I recommend stirring the entire jar thoroughly until the texture is completely smooth from top to bottom before measuring.
If the peanut butter is too dry or too runny, your lava filling will not bake with the right creamy consistency.
Using room temperature peanut butter also makes it much easier to mix with the melted butter and powdered allulose.
Cool the Melted Chocolate Mixture
When you melt the butter and sugar-free dark chocolate together, let the mixture sit on the counter for a few minutes before adding the eggs.

If that chocolate mix is too hot, it will start to cook the raw eggs right in the bowl.
You want the chocolate mixture warm to the touch so it blends smoothly without changing the texture of the eggs.
Sift Your Cocoa and Almond Flour
Cocoa powder and almond flour naturally create small lumps while sitting in the pantry. I’ve found that pressing them through a fine wire strainer before mixing makes a big difference.
This simple step helps your dry ingredients blend evenly into the wet batter without any pockets of dry powder left behind.
It also gives the batter that smooth, glossy finish you want in a rich low carb brownie.

FAQ
Can I use erythritol instead of allulose?
Allulose is the best choice here because it melts smoothly and keeps the center soft and gooey.
If you use erythritol or a monk fruit blend, the brownies will turn out firmer and can develop a crunchy texture once they cool down.
